Please read this Return Policy carefully before using the D&B Industrial Safety Supply website (dandbsafety.com). By accessing or using dandbsafety.com, you agree to be legally bound by this Return Policy.
Throughout this Policy, the terms "we" and "us" are meant to refer to D&B Industrial Safety Supply. The terms "you" and "your" are meant to refer to the individual or company listed on the original invoice, or the person in charge of returning the product. The term "product" is meant to refer to the item that this policy will apply to.
(1) In the event that you find a product is damaged upon delivery, contact us immediately so that we can arrange for a replacement, and where appropriate, submit a shipping damage claim. You should not return a product that has arrived with damage caused during shipping. Telephone us first, to advise us of the problem so that we can report it to the courier company. The courier company may contact you so that the claim can be investigated. You should keep all of the packaging and the product, as it may be inspected. We will then ship a replacement product to you, usually within a few days, subject to the shipping damage claim being approved by the courier company. We will not replace, exchange or refund any product that you find is damaged as a result of shipping, if it is not immediately reported to us. Also, we will not accept a 'shipping damaged' return, which has been shipped back to us without prior notification or authorization.
(2) We do not accept any products returned without prior authorization. All returns, regardless of reason, must be authorized in our returns register, be issued with a RMA (Returned Merchandise Authorization) number, and will only be considered within 14 days of date of invoice or date of receipt (whichever is the later), unless clause (4) applies. Unauthorized returns or returns that do not have the RMA number clearly shown on the outer carton will not be accepted and will be refused and shipped back to you at your expense. See clause (12), (15) & (16).
(3) All returns must have a copy of your proof of purchase enclosed (e.g. sales invoice or packing slip), which clearly identifies the product purchased. See clause (18).
(4) If a product becomes faulty or defective within 30 days (from date of purchase), we may offer a replacement or exchange, at our own discretion. The product should be returned to us for inspection. Should the returned product be compliant with this Return Policy, then a replacement or exchange (at our own discretion) may be offered to you. See clause (14), (15) & (16). Note: hazardous materials suits, rubber gloves, respirators, and any other item that cannot be resold as new, are excluded from any guarantee or warranty, and cannot be returned unless they are received damaged. See clause (1).
(5) Deliberate or accidental (direct or indirect) damage of a product (other than as a result of the courier company) is excluded from this Return Policy, and any product returned that is found to have been tampered with will not be handled by us. See clause (12), (14) & (15).
(6) It is recommended that you purchase insurance for any return, because we will not be responsible whatsoever for any loss or damage to the product during its return to us.
(7) All products must be returned in their original unmarked and undamaged packaging, and be 100% complete, unless clause (4) applies.
(8) Should we (at our own discretion) offer a refund, we reserve the right to apply a 20% to 50% restocking charge as appropriate. The restocking charge is applied at 20% for all refunds, unless we receive a product back that requires minor attention to enable it to be resold (e.g. repackaging, cleaning, testing etc.) where the restocking fee will be applied at up to 50%. Should more than minor attention be necessary, then a refund will not be applicable and you will be advised of our decision. See clause (12), (14), (15) & (16).
(9) We reserve the right to refuse a replacement or exchange where a product has become faulty due to misuse, neglect, deliberate or accidental damage by you or a third party, interference, alteration and where any clause of this Return Policy cannot be complied with.
(10) Products that have been used and/or installed are not fit for resale and cannot be returned unless clause (4) applies.
(11) If a product is found to be non-compliant with our Return Policy, then our findings will be reported to you. See clause (12), (14), (15) & (16).
(12) We will advise you of matters regarding returns by one or more of the following methods of communication: telephone; fax; e-mail or regular mail. Such communication will be sent only once without reminders. We may use a 'Returns Report' form to note relevant information. It shall be your responsibility to contact us about any ongoing returns issue.
(13) We do not accept products that have been used and/or installed and are returned to us, but found to be in good working order. Any such product, once inspected and found to be in good working order, will be repackaged in the original returned packaging and will require a pickup or collection at your expense. See clause (12), (14), (15) & (16).
(14) Should we advise you that a product is ready for collection or shipping back to you, then you shall be responsible for the shipping charges unless clause (4) applies. If a replacement or exchange has been approved, and no further shipping charges apply, we will arrange for return shipping at our expense. See clause (12), (15) & (16).
(15) Should we ship a product back to you and it is rejected and subsequently shipped back to us, you will be responsible for all shipping costs. See clause (12) & (16).
(16) Following our request to you for collection of a product, or to pay for return shipping costs, the product will remain with us for no more than 14 days, at which point the product will be disposed of without further notice.
(17) Shipping costs are not refundable under any circumstance, and we are not responsible for any shipping or insurance costs associated with your returning a product to us, unless the item has arrived damaged, or has become faulty within 90 days, or as otherwise agreed. See clause (1) & (4).
(18) We will not be responsible for returns that cannot be identified with your name and address, due to missing documentation and/or missing RMA number. See clause (3).
(19) Should you make an error ordering a product, then any requested exchange shall be treated as a return and will be subject to additional shipping charges to ship the exchanged product back to you, and appropriate restocking fees may apply (see clause (8)). The returned product (for exchange) must meet the conditions of this Return Policy.
(20) Should we decide to apply a refund (of any amount) to your credit or charge card, it shall be your responsibility to contact us with the card details as used for the original purchase. See clause (8) & (17).
(21) 'Special Orders' are not returnable unless clause (4) applies. All products deemed to be a 'Special Order' may be identified on your invoice as a 'Special Order' and/or displayed at dandbsafety.com as a 'Special Order'.
Reference to this Return Policy may be made during any dispute, chargeback request, or legal proceedings. By proceeding with an order and paying for a product, you are hereby accepting and agreeing to our Terms & Conditions and this Return Policy.
